Coldplay is a British rock band, formed in 1997. The bands members, Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland & Will Champion, met each other & formed the band while they were students at University College London. The band enjoyed both commercial & critical success relatively early in their existence through their first full-length album, Parachutes & the single Yellow. Along with the acclaim, Parachutes was sometimes criticised for bearing a strong resemblance to the music of Radiohead in their The Bends - OK Computer era. The bands second full-length album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, was generally considered to be musically & lyrically more mature & sophisticated & less obviously the product of one particular influence. Parachutes was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize in 2000 & won the Best Alternative Music Performance award in the 2001/44th Annual Grammy Awards. Coldplays second album A Rush Of Blood To The Head won two Grammys in 2002. In July 2003 they recorded a live DVD & CD, Live 2003, at Sydneys Hordern Pavilion. Posters Of Coldplay

The film received a British premiere in Leicester Square in London on 16 November 2003. There Curtis described his film as a roaring rampage of romance - a reference to the Quentin Tarantino movie Kill Bill released around the same time with the tagline a roaring rampage of revenge. The film, released two weeks earlier in the United States, had received a mixed bag of reviews including a particularly poor review from A O Scott of the New York Times. Defending the film at the premiere, Curtis said Id rather make a film that most of the audience liked & some critics didnt rather than a film that critics loved & nobody wanted to watch. As of May 2004, Love Actually had achieved a US gross box office of over $59 million & a world box office of just under $212 million.actually & ...
