Biography: Nancy Kwan

Nancy Kwan : Kwan Ka Shen, born May 19, 1939 was born in Hong Kong to a Chinese father & British/Scottish mother. She was studying dancing at the Royal Ballet School in England when producer Ray Stark spotted her. Then, at the age of 18, she received the starring role of a free-spirited Hong Kong prostitute who captivates artist Robert Lomax in the film adaptation of The World of Suzie Wong. She followed it up the next year with the hit musical The Flower Drum Song & became one of Hollywoods most visible Asian actresses. She spent the 1960s commuting between America & Europe for film roles, only to return to her native Hong Kong in 1972 to be with her critically ill father. Upon returning to the USA in 1979, she has had guest appearances & co-starring roles on numerous TV Productions. Biography: Russ Tamblyn

Russ Tamblyn is an actor. His first movie appearance was in 1948 in The Boy With Green Hair. In 1954 he was one of the singing & dancing brothers -- Gideon -- in the film of the musical Seven Brides for Seven Brothers for which his abilities as a champion gymnast & acrobat were well suited. His further musical roles included the movies Tom Thumb, Hit the Deck & West Side Story where he played Riff, the leader of the Jets. He appeared in the movie Peyton Place in 1957, for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. In 1962 he appeared in the cinerama movie How the West Was Won. More recently he has appeared in television series such as Nash Bridges, Twin Peaks & the Babylon 5 episode A Distant Star in which he played Captain Jack Maynard. Boy Wizard. His brother, Larry Tamblyn, was the drummer with 1960s band The Standells.
