Down with Love is an American romantic comedy motion picture released in the United States on May 9, 2003. It stars Renee Zellweger, Ewan McGregor, David Hyde Pierce, Sarah Paulson & Tony Randall in his final film performance. A tribute to the early 1960s bedroom comedies of Doris Day & Rock Hudson, Down with Love is the story of Barbara Novak, a farm girl from Maine, who finds fame & fortune as the author of a book telling women how they can become liberated & free from male domination by giving up on love & substituting chocolate for physical pleasure. Meanwhile, ace reporter Catcher Block, a playboy in the classic sense, sets out to expose her as a fraud.

Biography: Ewan McGregor

Ewan Gordon McGregor is a Scottish film actor who has had significant success in both mainstream & art house movies. // McGregor attended Kirkaldy College 1988/1989 to study drama appearing in several roles there & appearing in the Tron Theatre, Glasgow at the end of term. McGregor came to prominence through his role as the heroin addict Mark Renton in the film version of Irvine Welsh s Trainspotting. This role immediately followed his movie debut performance in Danny Boyle s 1994 film Shallow Grave. McGregor has also been featured as the male romantic lead in Hollywood films such as Moulin Rouge! & Down With Love & in the British film Little Voice. He received excellent reviews for his performance as an amoral drifter mixed up in murder in the rather bleak indie British film Young Adam, which co-starred the acclaimed British actress Tilda Swinton. Biography: Renee Zellweger

Renee Kathleen Zellweger is an Academy Award -winning movie actress. Renee graduated from Katy High School in Katy, a suburb of Houston in 1987. She was a cheerleader, gymnast & participated in the drama club. After high school, she went to the University of Texas at Austin to major in English. Though she took a drama class only because she needed a fine arts credit to complete her degree, it reminded her of how much she loved acting. During this time, she supported herself by taking a series of waitressing jobs; at 18 working at Sugars Go-Go Bar in Austin, serving drinks in a tight skirt & tiny top. By the time she graduated from college, she knew that she wanted to pursue a career in acting. She immediately began auditioning for commercials & small films that were being shot in Texas. Her breakout role was 1994 s The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. While on the set of Chainsaw, she heard about the film Love & a .45, which was in the midst of casting for actors.
