For radio or television programs that are broadcast in real time, rather than being recorded & broadcast at a later date, see Broadcasting#Recorded or live & live television. Live is also used in jargon references for objects under voltage. For the transcendental concept you may be looking for life as in being biologically animate or alive. Live is the name of an American rock band from York, Pennsylvania. The band Live is comprised of Ed Kowalczyk Chad Taylor, Patrick Dahlheimer & Chad Gracey. The original name of the band was First Aid, formed in the early 1980s. Several name changes followed, including Public Affection, under which they released The Death of a Dictionary. After a series of unsuccessful attempts at cracking the music business, the group recruited Jerry Harrison to produce Mental Jewelry, an album based on the writings of J Krishnamurti, an Indian philosopher. Live established a following & returned with Throwing Copper which was also popular, pushed by the success of singles Selling the Drama, I Alone & Lightning Crashes.
Consumer DVD Review

Having just seen this show, probably wildly cut, on C4 the other night, I have to buy this show.

I dont know why people are complaining about his style. His delivery is dry, yes, but that is his brand of humout. This isn't Ricky Gervais, much the same as Ricky isn't the Krankies!

So he may offend people, but that's the nature of humour. Derek & Clive are far far more offensive, but came about in a time where political correctness had absolutely no bearing.

Yes, this DVD is full of 1-line gags, but it isn't supposed to be a sketch show, if that's what you want, you're looking for The Fast Show: Live.

Make your own mind up about what you find funny, but this isn't like his annaesthetised TV shows, he is allowed to let his dry annoyance of the world run free, & it's all the better for it.

Summary: Not for those who are easily offended, much like any other comedy rated 18 or above. Use your common
