James Bond is a sophisticated fictional character & British spy, created by Ian Fleming, also known as 007, he is the main protagonist in numerous novels & short stories by Ian Fleming & later by Kingsley Amis, John Pearson, John Gardner, Raymond Benson & Charlie Higson. James Bond, is best known from the EON Productions film series. Currently, there are twenty films, starring Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton & Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. The majority were produced by Albert R Broccoli & Harry Saltzman ; Broccolis daughter & stepson, Barbara Broccoli & Michael G Wilson, later became the producers. Independent of EON, two other James Bond films were made, Casino Royale & Never Say Never Again. Since the mid–1970s, Danjaq, LLC., has co-owned the James Bond series with United Artists Corporation; Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, distribute the series. In addition to novels & films, Bond is featured in computer & video games based upon the films & upon original scripts, comic strips & comic books & has been the subject of numerous parodies. From Russia With Love, published in 1957, is the fifth James Bond novel written by Ian Fleming. It is the second James Bond series film & the second starring Sean Connery as James Bond, British Secret Service agent 007. The cinematic From Russia With Love was released in 1963, produced by Albert R Broccoli & Harry Saltzman & directed by Terence Young. From Russia with Love is considered both the best James Bond novel & the best of the James Bond film series by critics & by actor Sean Connery. The novel is credited with launching the James Bond craze, when US President John F Kennedy included it in a list of favorite novels. Though the films low-key tone contrasts with the outlandishness of Goldfinger, the quality of the screenplay make it an outstanding 007 film, more than four decades after its premiere. In 2004, Total Film magazine named it the ninth-greatest British film of all time. The title of the book sometimes is printed with a comma, as From Russia, With Love, depending upon the publisher. It is more commonly printed without the punctuation.

Robert Shaw was an English stage & film actor & writer. Born in Westhoughton, Lancashire, Great Britain, Robert Shaws best-known film performances include the henchman Red Grant in the James Bond film From Russia with Love, the relentless Colonel Hessler in Battle of the Bulge, Henry VIII in A Man for All Seasons, Doyle Lonnegan in The Sting & Quint in Jaws. He was recognizable by his major distinguishing feature, a large protruding mole on his left cheek. Shaw was nominated for the Golden Globe Award & the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role A Man for All Seasons. Shaw performed on stage in England & on Broadway. He was also an accomplished writer as well as a respected actor, adapting his own novel The Man in the Glass Booth for the stage but asking for his credit to be removed from the filmed version. He played the Priest in the acclaimed A Town Called Bastard. He was married three times, the second to actress Mary Ure, with whom he had four children. Sir Thomas Sean Connery better known simply as Sean Connery, is a Scottish film actor who has starred in many Hollywood films.
