Along Came Polly is a 2004 American romantic / comedy film written & directed by John Hamburg. A man whos afraid of risk makes a living analyzing risk, but when he finds his wife cheating on him, he ends up getting involved in a risky romance. Azaria plays a French scuba instructor who flirts with Messings character while she & Stillers character are on their honeymoon; Michele Lee plays Stillers mother & Dishy plays her husband. Opposites are forced to attract in Along Came Polly. Ben Stiller is a newlywed insurance risk-assessment analyst whose wife betrays him on their honeymoon. His uptight, play-it-safe lifestyle makes him seemingly incompatible with the spontaneous, free-spirited Polly , but writer-director John Hamburg is determined to give them at least the appearance of romantic potential. No such luck. You will, however, get a few laughs from supporting players Philip Seymour Hoffman, Bryan Brown, & Alec Baldwin. The film is a dose of featherweight fluff that couldve been better & couldve been worse, surely no pairing of Stiller & Aniston can be a complete waste of time, right? Faint praise, perhaps, but fans of these mainstream funny-folk will enjoy this movie as a lazy weekend distraction. ,

Ben Stiller is an American comedian, actor & film director. He is possibly best known for his roles in the films Meet the Parents & Theres Something About Mary. Stiller is son of Jerry Stiller & Anne Meara, who are both veteran comedians & actors themselves. He was born in New York, New York on November 30, 1965 & raised with frequent visits from his familys Hollywood friends. Stiller wrote & appeared on Saturday Night Live as a featured performer in 1990. He went on to host & perform in a self-titled comedy sketch show on MTV & then The Ben Stiller Show on the Fox Network in 1992. The show lasted 12 episodes, but is considered by many to be one of the finest sketch comedy vehicles on television. The show also starred his frequent collaborators Andy Dick, Janeane Garofalo & Bob Odenkirk. Stiller directed both Reality Bites & The Cable Guy, to generally mixed reviews. Jennifer Aniston is an American actress best known for playing Rachel Green on the television sitcom Friends. She was married to actor Brad Pitt from July 29, 2000 & officially separated from him January 7, 2005. Her Greek father, an actor, perhaps hoped that Jennifer would follow in his footsteps, so he made Telly Savalas her godfather & also changed her & their, names from their original Greek surname Anastassakis to the more American sounding Aniston. After spending a year living in Greece, the family returned to the States, settling in New York where her father John Aniston won a part on the US soap opera Love of Life & later Search for Tomorrow. In 1985, the family moved to Los Angeles when John Aniston started on Days of Our Lives. Attending New Yorks High School of Performing Arts during 1987, Aniston was a member of the drama club. Her desire to become an actress grew as she worked in off-Broadway productions such as For Dear Life & Dancing on Checkers Grave.
