Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen is a 2004 American comedy movie. It is directed by Sara Sugarman & written by Gail Parent based on a book by Dyan Sheldon. Lindsay Lohan. as Mary Elizabeth Cep/Lola. So much drama, so little time. Lola, a teenager, moves with her family to a new city. Her self-centered attitude then gets a reality check as she begins to realize she must compete against the already popular girl, Carla. Lola tries out for the school play Pygmalion against Carla. To get revenge against Lola, Carla then gets tickets to the sold out music concert to be put on by Lolas favourite band, whose lead singer, Stu, Lola has a crush on. I am so glad Hilary Duff did not end up in this role. Lindsay Lohan is brilliant. She was amazing in the Parent Trap, Freaky Friday & Mean Girls, & surprisingly this dark horse, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. What with it being straight to shelf here in the UK, I was really dubious about it, until I realised Lindsay was in the film, which kind of gave me hope. Okay, so the story wasnt incredibly inventive & it was rather predictable, but I did find myself hating Carla & feeling a certain ammount of personal empathy for the character of Lola

Adam Gabriel Garcia, is a movie actor. He is often credited as Adam Garcia. Garcia is the co-founder of a dance group, the Tap Dogs, which would later gain international acclaim. Despite the fact that he has starred in such movies as Coyote Ugly & others, it was not until 2004, when he participated as rock star Stu Wells in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen that he gained mainstream fame as an actor. Garcia had for long been an accomplished stage actor before the release of that movie. He played Doody in the West End s version of Grease in London. He also played another Travolta character, Tony Manero, in the stage version of Saturday Night Fever, which ran from 1998 to 1999 in London. Garcia was nominated for multiple awards during his stage acting career.
