Babylon 5 Movie Box Set - Thirdspace/River of Souls/A Call to Arms
Background Information: Thirdspace Babylon 5: Thirdspace is a made-for-television movie that is part of the Babylon 5 science fiction franchise. It was written by J Michael Straczynski & directed by Jesus Trevino. The movie originally showed July 19, 1998 on the TNT cable network. In addition to members of the regular cast of the Babylon 5 TV series, it has the notable guest-stars Shari Belafonte & William Sanderson. The term Thirdspace is also an anthropological/social science concept. The central plot of the movie concerns a huge, mysterious artifact that is discovered in hyperspace. It is towed to the space station Babylon 5 for investigation. Once there, the sinister group Interplanetary Expeditions sends a representative--Dr. Elizabeth Trent --to examine it. After being placed near the station, the artifact begins to influence the dreams of many inhabitants of Babylon 5, giving them dark visions that seem to involve a kind of subtle mental compulsion. Eventually it is discovered that the artifact is a Jump Gate that does not take one either to normal space or to hyperspace but to a third space. At last, the DVD collection of Babylon 5 will be complete. This boxset containes the last three movies Thirdspace River of Souls & A Call to Arms Thirdspace is a stand alone tale. It is take place in the series fourth season, the crew find an ancient jumpgate & this discovery soon have disastrous conseqences. River of Souls - Soul Hunters arrive to the station again. A Call to Arms the best from the three & the last Babylon 5 movie. Sheridan & the others try to stop the Drakh from assaulting Earth. This movie also a pilot for the spin-off series Crusade. These movies trully deserve to get to DVD. There will be commentaries to the movies I suppose from the creator J. M. Straczynski & perhaps from the producer & the actors. These -as usual- will be very helpful for the fans. This is a must piece for fans And its also worth to buy to everyone, who like excellent sci-fi films. Biography: Bruce Boxleitner Jerry Doyle is an American actor best known for his role as Michael Garibaldi on the 1990s science fiction television series Babylon 5. His other science fiction acting credits include Sliders & Gangster World. Previously a corporate jet pilot & after a decade as a stockbroker, Doyle made an abrupt career change into acting in 1991 & Babylon 5 was his first significant role. In 2000, Doyle unsuccessfully ran for the United States House of Representatives in California s 24th Congressional district, as a Republican. He later severed his ties with the party & now declares himself an independent. Doyle is the ex-husband of actress Andrea Thompson, who played the role of telepath Talia Winters in the first two seasons of Babylon 5. Doyle is now a talk radio host syndcated via Talk Radio Networks, discussing politics, current events & popular culture. On his radio show he coined the phrase Grapefruit Mentality referring to the publics fascination with issues & celebrities that dont really matter. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada with his fiancée.
