William Martin Joel, better known as Billy Joel, is a pianist, singer & songwriter. He was married to famous supermodel Christie Brinkley from 1985 to 1994. From an early age, Joel had an intense interest in music, especially classical music. Joel joined his first band at age fourteen & participated in many more since & also played in piano bars under the name Bill Martin. His first solo album Cold Spring Harbor was released in 1971 & he has been releasing albums ever since. He has also toured successfully with Elton John, playing each others songs. Billy Joel was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. While Joel grew up on Long Island, outside of New York City, in a town called Hicksville, New York & made many references to locations in the New York City metropolitan area, particularly the Island, in his songs. He is known internationally for celebrating life in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, which he tributed in one of his most popular songs, Allentown, released in 1982. Posters Of Billy Joel

Bill Joels June 1990 performance at New Yorks Yankee Stadium was filmed & released first on VHS & then later on DVD. Or rather, a paltry, heavily edited 85 minutes were released, including an annoying six-minute build-up to the show.

Songs include Piano Man, Miami 2017, I Go To Extremes, Scenes From An Italian Restaurant, & of course New York State Of Mind, & the sound is acceptable, but the concert itself is filmed horribly, with headache-inducing jerky cuts & blurry photography. Some, including me, may find it virtually unwatchable, unless they really like migraines.

The DVD features a discography , but no interesting extras of any kind, & the concert itself was much longer, so to snip it to a length of half of one show for is unacceptable. This DVD will let you down, no matter how much you want to like it.
