Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow - The Dirty Norris Files
Background Information: Dick And Dom In Da Bungalow [Top] Dick & Dom in da Bungalow is a CBBC childrens television series presented by Dominic Wood & Richard McCourt. Each weekend, they have 6 children or bungalow heads come to stay the weekend in their bungalow. Throughout the two shows, the bungalow heads attempt to win bungalow points to try & win prizes. The first series was broadcast on the CBBC Channel in 2002/3, with each programme lasting 3 hours. Recommissioned for 2003/4 & cut to two hours, the show gained a much bigger audience when it became BBC ONE s flagship Saturday childrens show, replacing The Saturday Show. The Sunday show remained only on the CBBC Channel, however. In accordance with UK childrens television tradition many games involve the participants being gunged, ie covered in some messy substance. see Bungalow games below for examples. In another game, Dick & Dom situate themselves in a quiet public place such as a museum or restaurant & take turns to shout Bogeys at ever-increasing volumes, until one of them is either laughing too much or too embarrassed to continue.
Consumer DVD Review [Top] Despite wads of criticism being hurled at this mighty comedic duo for being either too rudey or too puerile, theres no escaping the fact that this is the singularly most entertaining Saturday morning childrens television programme in the last 22 years, & by all thats good & pure, its been worth the wait. And thats including Ant & Dec. Pet.
If youve seen anything of this programme, youve probably already formed an opinion on Da Bungalow, & theres probably not a hell of a lot anyone can say to change your mind if you hate it, but all Ill say is that this is definitely one of the best DVDs I own, & I heartily recommend it to everyone, if only for the next door neighbours cat singing about Stoke on Trent. I laughed so hard I nearly passed out. My only criticism of this DVD, is that there just isnt enough material featuring the talents of the supporting cast. I sincerely hope there will be a follow-up DVD which features more of the work of these upstanding gentlemen, as itd be a crime against nature to ignore their outstanding input. God bless Mssrs McCourt & Wood for making Saturday mornings something to wake up for. Biography: Dominic Wood [Top] Dominic Simon Wood was Born 3 January 1978, in Devon, UK.
