Like Mike is a 2002 movie, directed by John Schultz & starring Lil Bow Wow, Sandra Prosper, Morris Chesnut & Jonathan Lipnicki. The movie was produced by NBA Productions & features many NBA stars on cameo appearances. Like Mike is about a trio of kids who live in an orphanage. They are best friends & they enjoy playing basketball & watching National Basketball Association games on television. They are taken by a greedy orphanage director to sell chocolates after each of a fictional Los Angeles NBA franchises home games. One night, Calvin, played by Bow Wow, gets to meet the teams coach, who agrees to let him & his two best friends have tickets for the next game. Then, Calvin finds a couple of old shoes that had been used by a great basketball player of the past. The shoes have the initials MJ written, so naturally, Calvin thinks they used to belong to Michael Jordan, although Jordans name isnt used in the movie because he refused to have anything to do with the movie itself. Calvins shoes are stolen & thrown into some dangerous electricity cables.

Actor Kel Mitchell was an original cast member on Nickelodeon s All That from 1995 to 1999. He & co-star Kenan Thompson had their own spin-off Kenan & Kel which ran from 1996 to 1999. Mitchell has remained active in television, motion pictures & voice-over work. He currently appears as a co-host of the dance competition TV program Dance 360. He wrote a short story entitled The Big Director for Chicken Soup for the Kids Soul. A skit of Good Burger, which he starred as the waiter in, appeared on All That, starring Britney Spears. Appears in a Pepsi commercial on Yahoo! Launch. Kel Mitchell appears in Kayne West s video of All Falls Down as the luggage boy taking in the luggage & baggage for Wests girlfriend in the video.

Shad Gregory Moss is a rapper who is better known in the music world as Bow Wow. Moss biological father never saw him & he was raised by his mother & her husband with his daughter, Erica. He is a native of Columbus, Ohio. When Moss was five, he started his career in rap, using the monicker Kid Gangsta. One year later, he took off front stage during the Chronic tour & impressed rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg. Dogg later hired him as an opening act & introduced him to Jermaine Dupri, a man who helped shape Moss career. He backed up his first albums success with 2001 s Doggy Bag, an album that contained such songs as Thank You & Take You Home. In addition to his own albums, Bow Wow has participated in Will Smith s album Wild Wild West, he shot a video with Lizzie McGuire s star Hilary Duff, had a guest appearance on Brandy s show, Moesha & made his acting debut in a movie named Like Mike, where he acts as a young orphan who gets a shot at the NBA.
