James Bond is a sophisticated fictional character & British spy, created by Ian Fleming, also known as 007, he is the main protagonist in numerous novels & short stories by Ian Fleming & later by Kingsley Amis, John Pearson, John Gardner, Raymond Benson & Charlie Higson. James Bond, is best known from the EON Productions film series. Currently, there are twenty films, starring Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton & Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. The majority were produced by Albert R Broccoli & Harry Saltzman ; Broccolis daughter & stepson, Barbara Broccoli & Michael G Wilson, later became the producers. Independent of EON, two other James Bond films were made, Casino Royale & Never Say Never Again. Since the mid–1970s, Danjaq, LLC., has co-owned the James Bond series with United Artists Corporation; Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, distribute the series. In addition to novels & films, Bond is featured in computer & video games based upon the films & upon original scripts, comic strips & comic books & has been the subject of numerous parodies. Goldfinger is the seventh novel by Ian Fleming, featuring James Bond, secret agent 007, published in 1959. Later, it was adapted into a film starring Sean Connery & released in 1964 as the third entry of the James Bond film series. It is possibly the most famous of all the James Bond movies. The eponymous villain of the novel is Auric Goldfinger, the worlds top gold smuggler & a communist criminal working for the Soviet assassination agency SMERSH, who intends to finance their schemes by stealing the gold in Fort Knox, Kentucky. James Bond, along with Pussy Galore, Goldfingers amusingly named lesbian pilot, work to prevent the villain from executing his plan, which involves killing the soldiers of Fort Knox with a water-borne toxin. In terms of gadgets, this Fleming novel is closest to the Bond films technological underpinnings. The secret agent is issued a battleship grey Aston Martin DB3 with lethal accessories, as well as a homing device similar to that seen in the movie.

Karl-Gerhart Frober, better known as Gert Fröbe, Saxony ; died September 5, 1988 in Munich, was a German actor who starred in many films, including the James Bond film Goldfinger as Auric Goldfinger & Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as Baron Bomburst. He made several appearances in big all-star casts in the 1960s, including the films The Longest Day & Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines. Fröbe could not speak English & was ultimately dubbed in many of his classic roles. While Fröbe was a member of the Nazi Party before & during WWII, he aided German Jews by hiding them from the Gestapo before 1945. Owing to his connection to the Nazi Party, the film Goldfinger was banned in Israel until he was publicly thanked by a Jewish family. Fröbe died on September 5, 1988 after suffering a heart attack. Sir Thomas Sean Connery better known simply as Sean Connery, is a Scottish film actor who has starred in many Hollywood films. Connery is well known to audiences around the world for his role as James Bond. Connery first appeared as Bond in Dr Over 40 years since he first played the role, Connery is still widely regarded as the definitive cinematic incarnation of James Bond, despite credible interpretations of the character by the likes of Roger Moore & Pierce Brosnan.
