Background Information: Freddy Vs Jason [Top] Freddy vs. Jason is the first film in which Jason Voorhees & Freddy Krueger meet each other. It is directed by Ronny Yu. Evil Will Battle Evil Freddy Krueger is banned in hell. He is not able to get out of this situation as long as nobody remembers him & his crimes. Therefore, he conjures up Jason Voorhees, a serial killer who is actually taking action in another series of horror movies called Friday 13th. Jason is made to kill the people living in Elm Street by Freddy to make everyone think that Freddy is back again. After Jason commits many murders, a small group of youths notices that it was not Freddy who had committed the murders. But when they notice that, it is already too late & Freddys back from hell. Now that Jason had done what he was expected to do, Freddy wants him to stop. But Jason doesnt listen & goes on killing. Therefore, a bloody fight begins between Jason & Freddy. The youths who are still alive are trying to get them both back to hell for good. Its an average entry in the histories of these horror icons, comparable to half of their previous sequels, & Bride of Chucky director Ronny Yu satisfies purists with plenty of gushing blood & mayhem when Freddy recruits Jason to slice n dice the ill-fated teens whove forgotten Freddys once-formidable reign of terror. While it logically connects the gruesome legacies of Nightmares Elm Street & Fridays Camp Crystal Lake, this horror hybrid is shockingly uninspired.
