Biography: James Fox [Top] James Fox is a pop music singer songwriter pianist & guitarist. He was born in Cardiff, South Wales in 1976 & grew up in the nearby village of Bargoed. Music was his passion from an early age inspired by Billy Joel. In 2003, he took part in the BBC Fame Academy reality television programme in the United Kingdom which offered a record contract to the winner. The students attempted to convince viewers to vote to keep them in each week — he didnt win the show, but in coming a respectable 5th it raised his profile & presented him with new career opportunities. He is a popular entertainer with the UK armed forces & has entertained the troops in Bosnia, Afghanistan & the Falkland Islands. His first notable achievement as a musical artist was representing the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song Hold on to Our Love which reached number 13 in the UK charts. He did not win, but came 16th of the 24 finalists with 29 points, with a wide spread suspicion of political voting, this had little to do with his performance.

He was born Maurice Joseph Micklewhite in Rotherhithe, South London & grew up in nearby Camberwell. During the Second World War he was evacuated to Norfolk. When Michael Caine first became an actor he changed his name to Michael Scott. He happened to be speaking to his agent in a telephone box in London s Leicester Square when he was informed that he had to change his name again because another actor was already using the name Michael Scott. His agent insisted that he come up with a new name immediately. Looking around for inspiration, he noted that The Caine Mutiny was being shown at the Odeon cinema & so he decided to change his name to Michael Caine. He once joked to an interviewer that had he looked the other way, he would have ended up as Michael 101 Dalmatians. After several minor roles, Caine came into the public eye as an upper-class British army officer in the 1963 film, Zulu.
