Speed is a film directed by Jan de Bont, starring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock & Dennis Hopper. Written by Graham Yost, the story is about an Los Angeles police officer who has to stop a insane bomber/extortionist who has rigged a bomb on a public transit bus. The bomb has multiple triggers, including one that will detonate if the bus goes slower than 50 mi/h. The cop & a young woman struggle to keep the bus moving at an acceptable speed despite the congested traffic of the city, while local police provide escort, clear traffic, plan the best route for the bus & search for the bomber. One of the movies most famous scenes involved the bus having to jump over a gap in an elevated freeway-to-freeway ramp which was still under construction. That scene, as well as much of the movie, were all filmed on Interstate 105. Cruise Control, which is set on a cruise ship. Only Sandra Bullock returned to reprise her role. Willem Dafoe played the villain. The sequel was a commercial flop. Posters Of Speed
Biography: Dennis Hopper
[Top]
Dennis Hopper is an American actor & film -maker. Born in Dodge City, Kansas, Hopper was voted most likely to succeed by his high school class & it was there he developed an interest in acting. He was especially fond of the plays of William Shakespeare. Hopper made his acting debut on an episode of the Richard Boone television show Medic in 1955 playing a young epileptic. Hopper was then cast in two roles with James Dean Rebel Without A Cause & Giant. Deans death in a 1955 car accident affected the young Hopper deeply & it was shortly afterwards that he got into a confrontation with veteran director Henry Hathaway on the film From Hell To Texas. Hopper refused directions for 80 takes over several days. This infamous incident resulted in him being blacklisted from films for several years. Hopper moved to New York & studied at the famous Lee Strasberg acting school. He appeared in over 140 episodes of television shows such as Bonanza, The Twilight Zone, The Defenders, The Big Valley, The Time Tunnel & Combat. Hopper also became an accomplished professional photographer. Posters Of Dennis Hopper

Biography: Keanu Reeves
[Top]
Keanu Charles Reeves is a Hollywood film actor. Although currently working in the United States, Reeves is a Canadian citizen & an avid ice hockey player/fan who was his High School teams MVP. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, his first name means cool breeze over the mountains in Hawaiian. His father is Asian American of Chinese & Hawaiian descent & his mother is English. Reeves gained the notice of the critics in 1986 s Rivers Edge, but his first major film role was in 1986, in the hockey movie Youngblood, starring Rob Lowe. Reevess first popularly successful film was Bill & Teds Excellent Adventure, in 1989. Indeed & perhaps unfortunately for Reeves, much of his subsequent portrayal in the press has been influenced by his comically airheaded character Ted in that film. Despite the fact that his acting has frequently been derided as wooden, Reeves has become a major box-office draw & several of his films have become extremely popular. Speed, released in 1994, was a tremendous success for Reeves, surpassed in 1999 by the sci-fi hit The Matrix. Posters Of Keanu Reeves
