Lamb of God is one of the titles given to Jesus in the New Testament & consequently in the Christian tradition. 19. the paschal lamb of the Old Testament whose blood protected & saved the Israelites. 7. For Paul, Christians are saved by Christ as their true paschal lamb. the Old Testament practice of sin offerings. Lambs could be used in these offerings. 19. Like the sin of a person could be forgiven through the offering & the pouring out of the blood of an unblemished lamb so Christians would be freed from sin by the blood of Christ as unblemished lamb. the suffering servant of Isaiah 53 who like a lamb led to the slaughter was silent & gives his life as an offering for sin. 32 & strengthens the idea of Christ as sin offering. Revelation uses another Greek word for Lamb & so the apocalyptic picture of a ruling & victorious lamb probably should not be read into the title Lamb of God in John.

Lamb Of God are an excellent band & have released 2 albums that are well worth getting but their dvd is horrible. It has 2 or 3 complete live videos. The rest are just little samples. YOu can see more good videos & live footage on their site for free! The video for 11th hour is not included either. I strongly recomend you do not buy this dvd because the only good things that are on it are also on the lamb of god website for free.
