Background Information: Queer As Folk

Queer as Folk is an American television series produced by Showtime, which is based on the British series of the same name created by Russell T Davies. This US version of Queer as Folk uses various directors & has a story by Ron Cowen & Daniel Lipman & Del Shores. Harris Allen as James Hunter Montgomery. Peter MacNeill as Detective Carl Horvath. This Showtime original drama aired in the US at 10pm ET/PT on Sunday nights. It is broadcast in Canada on Showcase on Mondays at 10pm ET/PT. Seasons 3, 4 & 5 are broadcast in HDTV. Brian, Michael, Emmett, Ted & a lesbian couple, Lindsay & Melanie. The show is noted for its relative frankness in its depiction of gay lifestyles & sex. A disclaimer, Queer as Folk is a celebration of the lives & passions of a group of gay friends. It is not meant to reflect all of gay society appears before each episode. The series won the GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series, 2001. Brian is a handsome, 29-year old advertising executive with a voracious sexual appetite.

Charles McDougall is a British director. McDougall has directed for popular television series which include the pilot episode of ABC s Desperate Housewives. McDougall has also directed episodes of Queer as Folk on Showtime & Sex & the City on HBO. Currently, McDougall is set to direct the pilot episode of a new original series for Showtime titled The Tudors about the marriages & reign of King Henry VIII. Call Me. The Rise & Fall of Heidi Fleiss.

Sarah Harding is a singer in the all-girl group Girls Aloud from Manchester, England. The Rivals & was picked as the final member of the five-piece group, Girls Aloud, that formed the female half of the eponymous rivals. Earlier in the year she had also entered FHM s High Street Honeys, the magazines version of a national beauty contest & her pictures appeared in the first ever top 100. She withdrew upon achieving success on Popstars.
