Biography: Walerian Borowczyk

| Walerian Borowczyk was born in Poland in 1923. he studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, then devoted himself to painting & lithography, including the creation of posters for the cinema. In 1959 he settled in Paris. He directed 40 films from 1946 to 1988. A number of his films were based on stories by André Pieyre de Mandiargues.
