Consumer DVD Review [Top] I must admit that I was expecting this movie to be one long horror movie cliche after another, the title doing little to reassure me. But wait...what a surprise.....American nightmare is first rate! Yes the film does bear a strong resemblance to Friday 13th & Halloween , but that is where all similarities end.
I dont know if my fellow horror fans will agree, but I am getting sick of all those big budget, no suspense horror flicks which are being churned out at the moment. American nightmare is a low budget, inventive, suspenseful with a surprise ending. The acting is also first rate, with particular credit going to Debbie Rochon & Brandy Little. And as for that ending???????????? Well you will just have to buy it & see for yourself!
