Underworld is a hybrid thriller that rewrites the rulebook on werewolves & vampires, imagine Blade meets The Crow & The Matrix. Its a cuisinart movie in which immortal vampire death dealers wage an ancient war against Lycans , whove got centuries of revenge, & some rather ambitious genetic experiments, on their lycanthropic agenda. Given his preoccupation with gloomy architecture , frenetic mayhem & Gothic costuming, its no surprise that first-time director Len Wiseman gained experience in TV commercials & the art departments of Godzilla, Men in Black & Independence Day. His work is all surface, no substance, filled with derivative, grand-scale action as conflicted vampire Selene struggles to rescue an ill-fated human from Lycan transformation. Its great looking all the way, & a guaranteed treat for horror buffs, who will eagerly dissect its many strengths & weaknesses. ,

Kate Beckinsale is an English actress. She is the daughter of British television actors Richard Beckinsale & Judy Loe & her birth name is Kate Beckinsale Loe. Beckinsale then began studying French & Russian literature at New College, Oxford University. In interviews she commented that she felt the university background would be better for her than attending a school of performing arts. During her first year at Oxford, Beckinsale was offered a part in Kenneth Branagh s big-screen film, Much Ado About Nothing, adapted from Shakespeare s famous comedy of the same name. This was her big breakthrough in movies & opened doors to work in several other films, which she did whilst at Oxford. Posters Of Kate Beckinsale
