I bought this DVD after watching Stephen Baldwins insane performance in The Usual Suspects. Admittedly, just by looking at the front cover & the storyline of the film I expected a ridiculously cheesy low-budget movie, but was pleasantly surprised upon watching it. Dead Awake is full of wonderfully weird characters, very strange camera shots, settings, etc. & has a fantastic storyline packed full of unexpected & absurd twists. I would recommend any fan of weird, abstract & complicated films to watch this. No, actually you should just buy it anyway. All the cast are great, & its a lot of fun. Yeah, just get it.
