Hollywood, also known as Hollywood: A Celebration of the American Silent Film was a documentary series produced in 1980 which discussed the establishment & development of the Hollywood studios & its impact on 1920s culture. The series consisted of thirteen one hour episodes, with each episode dealing with a specific aspect of Hollywood history. It was produced by Thames Television & was written & directed by Kevin Brownlow & David Gill. The actor James Mason provided narration. The producers recorded the recollections of many of the periods notable artists & illustrated their interviews with scenes from various of their films, as well as production still photographs & historical photographs of the Los Angeles environs. Subjects such as Rudolph Valentino & Clara Bow were represented by film scenes, but where possible the series made use of contemporary interviews by survivors of the era. Actors - Mary Astor, Eleanor Boardman, Louise Brooks, Jackie Coogan, Dolores Costello, Viola Dana, Douglas Fairbanks Jr.

Wild in the Streets was a popular 1968 movie, produced & released by American International Pictures & based on a short story by writer Robert Thom. The movie has become a cult classic, since its initial release. Christopher Jones stars, as aspiring singer Max Frost, whose band The Troopers include his 15-year-old genius attorney Billy Cage on lead guitar, ex- child actor /girlfriend Sally LeRoy on keyboards, hook-handed Abraham Salteen on bass guitar & trumpet & anthropologist Stanley X on drums. When Max is asked to sing at a televised political rally by Senate candidate Johnny Fergus, whos running on a platform to lower the voting age from twenty-one to eighteen, he & the Troopers appear—but Max stuns everyone by calling instead for the voting age to become fourteen, then finishes the show with an improvised song, Fourteen Or Fight! & a call for a demonstration. Maxs fans stir to action & within twenty-four hours fourteen-or-fight protests have begun in cities around the United States.
Biography: Andy Serkis

Andy Serkis is a British actor who was born & brought up in Ruislip, West London. He is best known for playing Gollum by providing the voice & movements for the CGI character in the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. He will also provide the movements for a CGI King Kong in LOTR director Peter Jackson s planned remake. He has played over 30 other roles in movie & television productions through his career. He went to St Benedicts School, London, UK. He is a graduate of Lancaster University, where he chose Theatre Studies as a second option. He has three children, two sons & a daughter. He was required to don a wetsuit & flail around in literally freezing water during reshoots for The Two Towers. Because his character in The Two Towers was computer-generated, he was ruled ineligible for a Best Supporting Actor award at the 2003 Academy Awards. He does however make an appearance in person, as Smeagol before he becomes Gollum, in The Return of the King & therefore became eligible for the 2004 award. In the event, he was not nominated for it. Biography: Sean Astin

Sean Astin is an actor, film director & producer. He is the son of actors Patty Duke & John Astin. At the time of his birth, it was widely assumed that his biological father was Desi Arnaz, Jr. Astin has gained much of his acting fame from several major roles. At age 13, he debuted on the silver screen as Mikey in The Goonies. Then he got the memorable part as the title character in Rudy. Astin most recently played Samwise Gamgee in Peter Jackson s the Lord of the Rings movies. Mark Twains Greatest Adventure. Its a Matter of Time. The Lord of the Rings. The Return of the King. The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship of the Ring. In 1994, he directed & co-produced the Academy Award nominated short film Kangaroo Court. While working on The Two Towers he persuaded a number of fellow cast & crew members, including director Peter Jackson, to act in or work as crew on his short film, The Long & Short of It, which takes place on a street in Wellington, New Zealand.
