Miss Congeniality is a 2000 comedy movie. The plot of Miss Congeniality centers around Sandra Bullocks character, an FBI agent who goes undercover in a beauty pageant in order to ferret out wrongdoers. Specifically, the FBI has been investigating a serial bomber who has indicated his next strike will be at the pageant. Bullocks agent is a feminist who is not traditionally attractive; part of the in-joke is the turning of her into a drop-dead gorgeous woman, contestant Gracie Lou Freebush -- with the same tomboyish habits she had before said makeover. This is definitely a Sandra vehicle, including several inside jokes, such as her reaction to the gun-toting Texans, or the hideous Tyrolean dress she wears for the talent competition. Its a good thing Sandra Bullock knows her strengths & weaknesses, because without Bullock as star & producer, Miss Congeniality would be an insufferable mess as opposed to being a mildly enjoyable trifle that is custom-made for Bullocks established screen persona. Here she plays nerdy FBI agent Gracie Hart, who is given the horrific pseudonym Gracie Lou Freebush when assigned to infiltrate a beauty pageant to investigate threats of a terrorist attack. Transforming Bullock from frumpy to stunning is a piece of cake , so the films premise is trivial at best. More enjoyable is her characters uncouth disdain for pageant contestants & her mistaken perception that theyre all a bunch of bimbos. The film nicely charts Gracies realisation that her pageant makeover provides a much-needed ego boost. In addition to Caines effortless scene-stealing, pageant host William Shatner & organiser Candice Bergen are smart choices for comedic support , but the film desperately needs a credible foundation for its comedy to really pay off. None of the plotting is as smart as predecessors like Beverly Hills Cop in combining procedure with laughs. That leaves Bullock to carry the burden of a comedy that barely works in her favour.

Michael Caine is a British film actor. He was born Maurice Joseph Micklewhite in Rotherhithe, South London & grew up in nearby Camberwell. During the Second World War he was evacuated to Norfolk. When Michael Caine first became an actor he changed his name to Michael Scott. He happened to be speaking to his agent in a telephone box in London s Leicester Square when he was informed that he had to change his name again because another actor was already using the name Michael Scott. His agent insisted that he come up with a new name immediately. Looking around for inspiration, he noted that The Caine Mutiny was being shown at the Odeon cinema & so he decided to change his name to Michael Caine. He once joked to an interviewer that had he looked the other way, he would have ended up as Michael 101 Dalmatians. After several minor roles, Caine came into the public eye as an upper-class British army officer in the 1963 film, Zulu. Posters Of Michael Caine
