Sixty Million Dollar Man
Biography: Ng Man Tat [Top] Richard Ng Man Tat was born in 1952. He is a veteran actor in the Hong Kong film industry, with over a dozen of titles under his belt. Ng has worked with famous actor & director Stephen Chow in a series of mo lei tau movies. Ng first met Stephen Chow on the shooting of the popular 1990 film All For The Winner, where he played the role of Chows uncle. From then on, the two would grow to star in many more mo lei tau films in the same style as All For The Winner. Although Ng Man Tat owes much of his popularity from co-starring with Chow in mo lei tau films, he has shown to be a versatile enough actor to successfully portray various different roles. A perfect example of his talent is in his portrayal of sister 13s father in Portland Street Blues, where he played a man who could not feel anything but abuse & rejection. This role proved to be the perfect compliment to his usual mo lei tau style with Stephen Chow. He also played Andy Laus sidekick in the Lee Rock series in a more serious role.

Stephen Chow was born in Shanghai, China. Before he launched his career in film, he was a host of a popular childrens programme in Hong Kong. He is famous for a brand of humour called mo lei tau, which approximately means nonsense or no brained. He makes frequent use of euphemism & double entendres in the Cantonese language & thus his films may be less enjoyable to a non-Cantonese speaker. One of his more serious films is A Chinese Odyssey, loosely based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. Although it was a box-office flop when it was shown in Hong Kongs cinema, it has developed a cult following in Mainland China.
