Bad Girls has not been one to shy away from controversy. The first three series featured prominantly the developing romantic relationship between Nikki Wade, a prisoner serving life for manslaughter & Helen Stewart, the Wing Governor who spent much of series 1 engaged to a man. many viewers regarded the subtlety of the portrayal of the relationship as one of its strongest assets. For this reason, Bad Girls has ammassed a significant following within the lesbian community. And whats the deal with Di?
The third series answers all of these questions, & some moments are pure Bad Girls, as the show makes us laugh, gawp & cry. There are lots of new characters introduced, including Buki, Gina, Mark & Virginia, but the most important arrival happens halfway through the series. The Peckham Boot Gang. For those who havent seen Series Four, I wont spoil it, but the vicious Maxi finally gets whats coming to her. All I can say is buy this set, cos its great, & wait for Series Four as well. The finale definately goes off with a bang! Biography: Mike Adams [Top]
