This movie was a little shy of average. It certainly had its moments though, one being Jamie Kings portrayal of the lead female character, Baby. She shined as both the sensitive & driven young waif. As well as showing the flashes of anger that result if you cross her or her loved ones. Joshua Jackson did a fine job as the lead male character of Earl.

In a nutshell, Earl & Baby are planning on moving from small town Texas to big L.A. when all hell breaks loose around them. Nutty relatives, drug dealers, two-bit criminals & stupid folks abound. Through it all Earl, the normal one, & Baby, the sexy one, keep plugging away trying to move forward in their lives & help the ones they love.

Although it had a lot of cliches & was at times stupid there are worse ways to spend an evening than watching this movie. Jamie Kind is the one that kept this movie from a one star rating . If you rent it, it should be for her performance alone.

Jaime King is an American actress & model. She often goes by the name James King. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, she is reputed to be named after Jaime Sommers of the 1970s television series, The Bionic Woman. A successful early career as a fasion model peaked when she was aged 16 before her heroin addiction became widely known. Joshua Carter Jackson is an actor in American television & movies. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He currently divides his time between North Carolina & Vancouver. Jackson grew up in California until age 4, when his family moved back to Vancouver. Soon after he took up acting, landing a role in a commercial for Keebler s Potato Chips. He is best known for the role of Pacey Witter on Dawsons Creek, but he has also appeared in several movies including Cruel Intentions, Apt Pupil, Scream 2, The Laramie Project & The Skulls. Joshua is left-handed & is around 6 feet tall.
