Big Trouble is a film based on the novel Big Trouble by Dave Barry. It was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld & featured a large cast including Tim Allen, Rene Russo & Dennis Farina. Like much of Barrys fiction, it follows a diverse group of people through a series of extremely strange situations against the backdrop of southern Florida. They have forty-five minutes to save the world. They need forty-six. Eliot Arnold has had some bad luck lately. He lost his job as a newspaper columnist after losing his temper with his editor. His wife cheated on him, leading to their divorce. The advertising agency he opened has only attracted a few lowlife clients. His teenage son Matt thinks hes a complete loser. He drives a Geo. Anna Herk has had better days herself. She has a close relationship with her daughter Jenny, but her husband Arthur Herk is insufferable & quite possibly insane. Shed leave him if it wouldnt mean dooming Jenny & herself to a life of poverty. Arthurs a bit on edge. Posters Of Big Trouble

The last film directed by John Cassavetes, Big Trouble reteamed some of the creators of the much funnier The In-laws. But despite another script by Andrew Bergman, & a cast that reunited Alan Arkin & Peter Falk, this comedy doesnt live up to its predecessor. A spoof of Double Indemnity, the film casts Arkin as a nervous insurance agent faced with huge college tuition bills for a trio of sons headed for Yale. To make extra money, he gets involved in a scheme with a woman trying to kill her husband . That the whole thing turns out to be an adventure in insurance fraud shouldnt come as a surprise. Despite an inconsistent script, the chemistry between Arkin & Falk can still produce the occasional laugh.

Biography: Peter Falk
[Top]
Peter Falk is an American actor. Best known for his role in the long-running TV series Columbo, in which he played the title role --a shabby, seemingly slow-witted police detective. Columbo inevitably solved his cases through close attention to tiny inconsistencies in a suspects story, hounding them until they confessed. Columbos signature technique was to exit the scene of an interview, invariably stopping in the doorway to ask just one more thing of a suspect, which always brought to light the key inconsistency. Falk is also loved for his brilliant performance in the high-brow comedy, The In-Laws. Falk played a crazed CIA agent who dupes his in-law, a New York City dentist, into joining a scheme to rob the US Treasury. He also gave a memorable turn opposite Gena Rowlands in director John Cassavetes A Woman Under the Influence. His right eye was surgically removed at the age of three. Posters Of Peter Falk
