Although there is nothing particularly wrong with this film, it is like countless other films that you will watch, gain some sort of enjoyment out of & then instantly forget. Until of course you watch it on some sort of TV re-run & then spend the whole time thinking, Im sure Ive seen this before!

The plot doesnt really need any discussion, the tough cop with a heart but who has gone slightly off the rails & is now being compromised by the towns villains has been done countless times before & this film deals with the story in nothing more than a competent way.

Belushi huffs & puffs his way through the movie, alternating between growling hard man & Im mushy on the inside really sentimentality. There no other stars to speak off although Jason Bateman plays quite a decent camp downtrodden husband & Angela Featherstone pulls off a good solid female interest cop. Interestingly it was with one of the more minor roles that Jack Langedijk caught my eye, bringing a great line in sarcasm & bravado to his role as Detective Corelli.

All in all, nothing new & nothing to really grab the viewer, but if youre at a loose end & this is on the box then its a worthwhile way to spend a hour or two.

James Belushi is an American film & television actor. He was born in Chicago, Illinois but grew up in Wheaton, Illinois. He is the third of four children of Adam Belushi, an Albanian immigrant who left his native Qytezë village in 1934 at the age of 15 & Agnes, was born in the US of Albanian immigrants. James elder brother was John who was also a famous actor. James attended Southern Illinois University Carbondale & earned a degree in Speech & Theater Arts. From 1977 to 1980 he followed John & worked with the Chicago theater group The Second City. During this period he also made his television debut in the 1978 flop Whos Watching the Kids & also had a microscopic part in Brian De Palma s The Fury. His first larger role was in Michael Mann s Thief. From 1983 to 1985 he wrote & appeared on Saturday Night Live. He rose to greater prominence with his supporting roles in About Last Night & Salvador which gave him the opportunity for lead roles. Jason Bateman is an American actor. First popular in the 1980s as a teen idol, his career went into decline for almost a decade before he landed one of the lead roles on the FOX television comedy Arrested Development. Recently, he has appeared in Dodgeball as an ESPN 8 commentator & Starsky & Hutch as Vince Vaughns business partner. He also recently did commentary on the 2004 Republican National Convention for The Majority Report with Arrested Development co-star David Cross. His older sister is Family Ties star Justine Bateman.
