Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers is the 1989 sequel to the popular horror film, Halloween. It was directed by Dominique Othenin-Girard & starred Donald Pleasence, who again portrayed Dr Sam Loomis. The Return of Michael Myers, but Michael climbs into the river, where a Hermit keeps him healthy. About a year later, Michael reawakens, kills the hermit & returns to terrorize Haddonfield, where his long-lost niece, Jamie Lloyd Lives. Jamie, who has nearly lost her ability to speak since attacking her foster mother, has developed a telepathic link with her evil uncle. Dr Sam Loomis realizes that this link exists & plans to use it to put an end to Michael. Jamie for some reason, wont let Loomis know where Michael is. But Michael begins stalking Jamies foster sister Rachels friend Tina & Jamie lets them know where Myers is. Michael escapes the first time, but the second time he succeeds & unfortunatly kills Tina. Jamie agrees to help Loomis & With Jamies help, Loomis brings Michael back to the old Myers House.

Starting around Halloween 4, that masked nut Michael Myers stopped chasing his sister & went after his niece. Now hes chasing her around again in part 5, but its a lot of other people who die in the process. Donald Pleasence continues his mad-doctor bit from the earlier movies, Danielle Harris is the unfortunate relation, & Donald L. Shanks plays the monster. The film is an improvement on parts 2 & 4 , but it still amounts to routine slaughter with none of John Carpenters stylistic brilliance from the original movie.

Donald Pleasence was a British actor. He was born in Worksop, England. Pleasences acting career began in a 1939 production of Wuthering Heights, but was soon interrupted by his service in the Royal Air Force & a year in a German prisoner-of-war camp. He returned to acting after the war & critics began to call him the Man with the Hypnotic Eye. Perhaps because of this & his bald head & quiet-but-intense voice, he specialised in insane & evil characters. His trademark voice may be credited to elocution lessons he had as a child. Pleasence was married four times & is father to five daughters. Miriam Raymond & Pleasance produced two daughters, Anglea & Jean in their 1941 to 1958 marriage. His 1959 to 1970 marriage to actress & singer Josephine Martin Crombie produced two daughters, Lucy & Polly. He was married to Meira Shore from 1970 to 1988 & they had one daughter, Miranda. His last marriage to Linda lasted until his death in 1995. He died in St. Paul de Vence, France from complications from heart valve replacement surgery. Ellie Cornell is an American actress & movie producer, known primarily for her roles in horror films. After her marriage to producer Mark Gottwald, she is sometimes credited as Ellie Gottwald. Ellie graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 1986. The Return of Michael Myers as Rachel Carruthers. She is also co-founder of Mindfire Entertainment. After her initial success in the late 1980s, she disappeared from films. She eventually rejoined the industry by being the executive producer of 1998 s Free Enterprise & 2000 s The Specials. Her disappearance was so complete that she was even featured in a VH1 Where Are They Now? special. In 2003, she returned to her horror roots by appearing in House of the Dead & as of 2005 is slated to appear in four more horror films through 2006. She nearly broke out of her horror film typecasting by appearing in 1992 s A League of Their Own, but she had to drop out of the film when she became pregnant.
