Biography: Karisma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor is a popular Indian actress, also known by her nickname Lolo. her great-grandfather was Prithviraj Kapoor, her grandfather was actor & director Raj Kapoor, her father was Randhir Kapoor & she is the sister of actress Kareena Kapoor. Karisma began acting at the age of 15 & first achieved major success in 1996 with her leading role in the film Raja Hindustani, for which she won a Filmfare Award for Best Actress. In 2000, she starred in Fiza. Kapoor was briefly engaged to actor Abhishek Bachchan in 2002 ; subject to intense media scrutiny, the two broke off the engagement reportedly by a mutual agreement, however, other reasons have been reported. In September 2003, she married industrialist Sanjay Kapoor according to Sikh marriage rites. Some of her most memorable movies include Raja Hindustani & Dil To Pagal Hai.
