Century Of Rugby

Consumer DVD Review [Top] BUYER BEWARE. This Century of Rugby DVD is identical to The Story of Rugby in every way. IDENTICLE. THE SAME MOVIE. SAME WORDS, SAME VIDEO, SAME EVERYTHING.
I bought each of these DVDs on the same day, thinking they were different given their different titles, not to mention different case-cover designs & production dates. Even the two extra minutes in The Story of Rugby made it seem as though these were different videos -- but theyre not. Even after watching both of them I dont see where there is two minutes worth of change in the latter as compared with the former. What should have gave it away for me was the fact that both of these DVDs were produceed by the same company. But given all the differences they advertise, added to the fact that one was made in 2000 & another in 2004, I felt confident that they were completely different movies -- perhaps where the latter includes the 2003 RWC since it was made in 2004. Nope. Identical. Rob Andrew giving us his bit on the history of the game. Im not going to comment on the video presentation itself here, its generally fine but only try to help you avoid the same mistake I made. . There is no explicit statement on the amazon website that these are identical presentations. Only the producers name for each DVD matches. Given that the cover design, date of production, & even the title itself, is different for the two DVDs, youd think youd be making a pretty safe bet that they are different presentations. They arent. Likewise, Im guessing now that The History of Rugby DVD on the site is identical too given that its produced by the Green Umbrella: Prism Leisure Corporation as well. Best of luck. Rugby is cool, but getting kind of ripped off isnt. Biography: Rob Andrew [Top]
