Rick Moranis is a comedian & actor. He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada & first achieved fame as a cast member of the Canadian syndicated comedy show SCTV, where he portrayed, among other characters, Bob of Bob & Doug McKenzie fame. In June of 2004 a rumor began heavily circulating on the internet that Moranis had been killed as the result of a fatal incident involving a train. This proved to be false; apparently a private joke posted on a private web address spiraled out of control & was taken as fact.
