Consumer DVD Review
[Top]
If youre going to watch this & youve read the book then make sure it is a very rainy day with absolutely nothing else to do. If you havent read the book well this doesnt come close to the genre its supposed to be from. Youve heard of B films & such well this sadly does not rate at all. Poorly directed & not edited for translation to DVD - nothing quite like seeing the same shot of the town every so often where the commercial breaks were inserted. The story starts in a more modern setting than the book & only a few bones have been carried over from the original story. For one who has read the book this turned into a waste of time & money. I hope someone who has not read the book might find something in it to enjoy... but Ill be surprised.
