Short Circuit 2
Background Information: Short Circuit 2 [Top] Short Circuit 2 is a 1988 film starring Fisher Stevens as Ben Jahrvi, Michael McKean as Fred Ritter, Cynthia Gibb as Sandy Banatoni & Johnny 5, a sentient robot. Ben Jahrvi has moved to New York City & is trying to sell miniature Johnny 5 robots as toys, with help from con man Fred Ritter. When his line is picked up by Sandy Banatoni, a floundering toy hunter in need of something new to show her boss, the real Johnny 5 arrives to help in their rapid manufacture. However, when a group of bank robbers led by Oscar Baldwin befriend Johnny, he is quick to help them dig a tunnel, on the other end of which lies a priceless diamond. Meanwhile, Ben & Fred have been locked in a Chinese restaurants freezer & must rely on Sandy to find them through hints they are able to send her in the form of music played to her answering machine. Once the thieves are done with Johnny, they beat him up & leave him for dead. But with Jahrvi & Ritter free, they are able to go in search of Johnny, who they discover is leaking battery fluid.
Consumer DVD Review [Top] This is a truly adoreable sequel to the heart-rending story of Number 5, the lovable robot who is alive. Here, Johnny 5, as hes now known, has alot to learn about the inner city. He learns more valuable lessons about honesty & what it means to be a hereo. If you liked Short Circut you will love this. I especially like it because the Indian Man is the focus. A little dissapointing that Stephanie & Newton Crosby are not in it at all, though. But all in all, a very cute film. Youll enjoy.
