I saw Elaine Stritch perform her one-woman show in Londons Old Vic Theatre last Autumn. She had extraordinary energy. I hope this recording captures the same atmosphere. The marathon show contained very honest & often funny reminiscences, including her recollections of understudying Ethel Merman, dating Marlon Brando, & her past association with alcoholism. Cracking songs too! She recalled the golden age of Broadway, with a life full of real talent & hard graft. . This will be a treasure.
