Madonna gives her most believable performance in Swept Away as Amber, a rich woman on a sea cruise who expects the world to obey her every whim. When she & a high-spirited crew member are marooned on a small deserted island the feud that sprang up between them on the ship becomes an all-out war then changes into lustful desire as Amber finds that losing status opens up a new side of her personality.

Some people will want to see Swept Away for the simple pleasure of seeing Madonna being slapped; more demanding filmgoers will, sadly, be left wanting. Though the movie purports to be a satirical examination of capitalism , its vague discussion of money & power adds up to very little. The love story is surprisingly sincere, making Swept Away a standard romantic potboiler with gorgeous tropical backdrops.

Biography: Madonna
[Top]
Madonna is the self-titled debut album by singer Madonna, released on July 27th, 1983. The album was remastered 2001 & released with two bonus remixes. The album is also known as The First Album outside of the United States. // After the successful release of her first two singles Everybody & Burning Up, Warner Brothers Records gave Madonna the permission to create her first album. Though New York DJ Mark Kamins had discovered Madonna & produced Everybody, she decided to work with Warner producer Reggie Lucas for the rest of the album. They started recording Lucky Star, a song written by Madonna & Borderline, which was a composition by Lucas. Soon both realised they did not get along very well. Lucas produced the album his way, while Madonna complained that she had different concepts & ideas. She took the finished, but unsatisfactory album to her friend John Jellybean Benitez, who remixed & rearranged the entire album. The song Aint No Big Deal was originally intended to be included on the album. Posters Of Madonna

Biography: Guy Ritchie

Guy Ritchie is a British film director. He dropped out of school at 15, but went on to become an accomplished music video & film director. Ritchie directed a film in 1995 titled The Hard Case. His first truly successful feature was Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels in 1998. Recalling Quentin Tarantino & The Sting in equal measure, the film was widely praised for its wit. It introduced actor Jason Statham to worldwide audiences. He followed that up with Snatch in 2000, another caper comedy, this time backed by a major studio. Its cast featured such Hollywood big names as Brad Pitt, Benicio del Toro & Dennis Farina. Reviews were also strong for this film. He married Madonna on December 22, 2000 at Skibo Castle in Scotland & they have one child together. They are both ardent devotees of the controversial quasi-mystical Kabbalah Centre & donate much money & time to practicing & spreading its teachings. Posters Of Guy Ritchie
