Swingers is a movie released in 1996, about the lives of single, unemployed actors living in Los Angeles, California. Written by Jon Favreau & directed by Doug Liman, the movie starred Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn, Ron Livingston & Heather Graham. The characters clearly idolize the swinging lifestyle of Frank Sinatra & the Rat Pack. Filmed on location at several Hollywood nightclubs, the film increased interest in 1960s culture, Hollywood nightlife & swing music. At the end of the movie, Favreau & Graham swing dance to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at the Derby. Swingers   at the Internet Movie Database. Posters Of Swingers

For anyone who wants to catch a glimpse of the Los Angeles lounge scene that was in vogue during the early & mid-1990s, heres the movie that virtually defined that brief but colourful nightlife milieu. As an added bonus, it just happens to be a very funny, observant story about love, loss & male bonding among a group of friends who struggle to find decent jobs by day, & lurk through Hollywoods hottest nightclubs by night. A sort of latter-day Rat Pack, they include Mike & his closest buddy, Trent , who are waiting for the big show-biz break that seems to be eluding them. Mikes twisted up about the girlfriend he left back East to pursue his going-nowhere standup comedy career, & Trent uses the word money as an adjective with such frequency that you may find yourself slipping into lounge-lizard mode after watching the movie. One of the most noteworthy indie-film success stories of the 90s, Swingers is a time-capsule comedy that seized its moment in the spotlight, launched several promising careers & continues to maintain its lasting appeal.

Jon Favreau was born on 19 October 1966 in Queens, New York. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science & attended Queens College & worked on Wall Street before moving to Chicago to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. While in Chicago, Favreau landed his first film role, as the pudgy tutor D-Bob in the sleeper hit Rudy. Favreau would meet Vince Vaughn -who also played a role in this film- during the shooting of this film. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he made his breakthrough in 1996 as an actor-screenwriter with the film Swingers - a film that certainly was money & which also brought Vaughn much fame as the glib & over-confident Trent Walker, a perfect foil to Favreaus heartbroken Mike Peters. Since then, his credits have included Very Bad Things, Daredevil & Love & Sex, co-starring Famke Janssen. He also played a guest role in the sitcom Friends. In 2001, he made his directorial debut with another self-penned screenplay, Made. Posters Of Swingers
