Casper Van Dien is an American actor. The son of a US Navy commander, he is a member of an old Dutch family long settled in the New York area. His first name is a family tradition, given to the eldest son of the family for more than 11 generations. He grew up in Ridgefield, New Jersey, on Van Dien Avenue, named for his family. With his big break on the ABC soap opera, One Life to Live, he has appeared in movies such as Tarzan & the Lost City & Sleepy Hollow. He has been described as a perfect life-sized Ken doll.
