Consumer DVD Review

This being a relatively cheap DVD release, my expectations were not that high. I was, however, positively surprised finding that American Dragon was in fact a really good Hong Kong action flick. Yes, the acting is kind of cheesy. And, yes, the story isnt THAT great. But, the fight scenes are excellent. The film is divided into chapters that make sense. And, theres lots of guns, explosions & a totally awesome "jail-bust-scene". This film comes highly recommended.
Biography: Sam J Jones
[Top]
Sam J Jones is an American actor born in Chicago, Illinois. Jones made his first film appearance opposite Bo Derek in the 1979 film 10. Today he is largely remembered now for his portrayal of the comic book hero Flash Gordon in the 1980 film of the same name. The critical failure of Flash Gordon effectively stalled a promising career in American film. Since then his work has largely been in television, notably in the role of Chris Rorchek in the TV series Code Red & more recently in action films such as Obsession Kills, Fists of Iron, American Strays, American Tigers, Gangland & Psychotic. Jones appeared in Playgirl magazines June 1975 issue in a full-frontal nude photo layout, using the name Andrew Cooper III. Posters Of Flash Gordon
