Rugrats in Paris: The Movie is a theatrical sequel to the 1998 film The Rugrats Movie that follows the continuing adventures of the Rugrats. This film was produced by Paramount Pictures & Nickelodeon Movies & released to movie theatres by 2000. Some minor plot details follow. Tommy, his friends & family travel to Paris, France, where his dad Stu has been summoned to fix the mechanical centerpiece of the EuroReptarLand theme park, a huge Reptar robot. Meanwhile, the parks director Coco LeBouche, is looking for a potential husband & is dating Chuckies father, with the help of Angelica & Cocos sidekick Jean Claude. A number of real-life landmarks make appearances, including the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower & Notre Dame de Paris. A parody of The Godfather bookending the events of the movie. Coco being a homage to Cruella De Vil. In fact, many scenes in this movie make fun of Disney. First appearance of Kira, as Cocos secretary & her daughter Kimi, as well as Fifi. Chuckie* screaming No in the Notre Dame, subsequently carried over to the series as the only word he knows.

The second theatrical film from the popular television show, Rugrats in Paris is better than the original surprise hit, The Rugrats Movie. Instead of delving into their rich fantasy life, the Rugrats gang goes on a real adventure when their families visit Paris together. Mr Pickles is brought over to fix his giant Reptar robot, the centerpiece of EuroReptarland . The underlying story has Chuckie looking for a new mummy, as his dad starts to fall for a villainous executive . Soon Paris takes it on the chin as the diaper gang tries to save Chuckies dad from the altar. The success of the Rugrats is in the writing, where much thought goes into finding comic gems for the adults . The garble-mouthed youngsters keep up their joyful ways in this 78-minute feature that feels no different from their Nickelodeon series except in length, some 3-D animation sequences, & an eclectic song score .
