You wouldnt think that a movie, which mostly consists of two old guys talking could be a thriller, but thats exactly what LHomme du Train is. French singer Johnny Hallyday plays a professional criminal who comes to a small town to take part in a robbery. By chance, he meets talkative Jean Rochefort, who invites the laconic Hallyday to stay at his house because the hotel is closed. The two form an unlikely friendship, each curious about the others life. But all the while plans for the robbery continue, while Rochefort is preparing for a dangerous event of his own. The pitch-perfect performances make LHomme du Train completely involving. Rochefort & Hallyday play off of each other beautifully; its impossible to put your finger on what makes these subtle, supple scenes so magnetic. The whole is directed with spare authority by Patrice Leconte .

Johnny Hallyday is a French singer & actor. Johnny Hallyday was born Jean-Philippe Smet in Cite Malesherbes, Paris, France, to Huguette & Leon Smet. His parents separated not long after his birth, so he was raised by his paternal aunt, Helene Mar.. Johnny, as he is popularly known, became famous in the 1960s from singing rocknroll in French. Since then, he has had a 40-year career in the music industry & is one of Frances biggest stars. He has sold 80 million records, made 400 tours, had 18 platinum albums & performed in front of 15 million people. He was married on April 12, 1965 to Sylvie Vartan in Loconville. They have a son, David Hallyday, born David Michael Benjamin Smet on August 14, 1966. Johnny Hallyday & Sylvie Vartan were Frances Golden Couple of their generation. They divorced on November 4, 1980. A year later, he married a model named Babeth Etienne on December 1, 1981 in Los Angeles, the marriage lasted 2 months & 2 days. His love affair with the French actress Nathalie Baye began in 1982, after they met on a television programme.
