Jack Frost is a figure believed to have originated in Viking folklore, an elfish creature who personifies crisp, cold, winter weather. Whatever you do, dont confuse this Jack Frost with the 1997 comedic horror flick of the same name . This family film stars Michael Keaton as Jack Frost, an aspiring musician, loving husband & occasionally absent father. Frosts life is unexpectedly cut short by a car accident & a year after his death he comes back as, you guessed it, a snowman, to help his family heal . The sudden death may affect sensitive younger viewers but by the time Frost returns the movie is more light-hearted & the films message is a worthy one. Theres an underlying theme that supports independence, & Gabby isnt saddled with a new dude by the films end. Theres also a good rapport developed between father & son, & especially mother & son. If an audience can take that huge leap of faith to accept the premise , this is entertaining family fare.

Michael Keaton, is an American actor. Keaton was born in an Irish Catholic family of 7 kids. Keatons real name is Michael John Douglas, but he could not use his real last name professionally because the actors union doesnt allow two people to use the same name. So he couldnt use Mike Douglas or Michael Douglas. He picked Keaton after Buster Keaton, the silent-film star. Keaton is known for his work in films such as Batman, Beetlejuice & Multiplicity.
