Tom Jones is lyricist of musical theatre, best known for the longest running musical in history, The Fantasticks, which has been running off-Broadway since 1960. All of Schmidts major musicals were written with Harvey Schmidt whom he met at the University of Texas.

Viva Las Vegas is an American musical film directed by George Sidney & starring Elvis Presley, Ann-Margret & Cesare Danova. The movie is regarded as one of Presleys best movies & noted for the on-screen charisma between Presley & Ann-Margret. A soundtrack from the movie was also released. It was only released as an EP by RCA. A soundtrack LP was released independently. The soundtrack is regarded as one of Presleys best, his 60s musicals considered. Lucky Jackson goes to Las Vegas, Nevada to participate in the citys first annual Grand Prix. However, his race car is in need of a new engine to properly compete. Jackson raises the money but mislays it when distracted by Rusty Martin. Soon Jacksons main competition, Count Elmo Mancini, comes into the picture to steal both the race & Rusty. fansite on the movie & the relationship of Elvis Presley & Ann-Margret.
