The term special edition, sometimes called deluxe edition implies a kind of an extraordinary, rare quality. Generally used as a marketing phrase, it is intended to give a product a feel of containing something new & previously unseen; that it is somehow better, unique or more desirable than a regular edition. The term is frequently used on DVD movies, often when the so-called special edition is the only version even available to purchase. Extensive use of the term & similar ones as buzzwords by the marketing world has considerably diluted their value. Occasionally it is the case, parallel to commercial software programming, that the first releases are found to be sub-par & that only in the sequential special editions have things been put in a satisfactory state. Sir Anthony Hopkins, CBE is a British -born American actor who was born Philip Anthony Hopkins in Margam, near Port Talbot, Wales to Richard & Muriel. He was strongly influenced & encouraged to become an actor by fellow Welshman Richard Burton, whom he met briefly at the age of fifteen. He also conquered an alcohol addiction in 1975 & has not touched a drop since, drinking sparkling cider at his March 2003 wedding. He now resides in the United States where he became a naturalized citizen on April 12, 2000. However, as a dual national, he retains his knighthood & can use the title Sir in the UK, but not in the US, since it is considered inappropriate according to the British consulate. Hes been married three times. His first two wives were Petronella Barker & Jennifer Lynton. Hes currently married to Stella Arroyave. He has a daughter named Abigail Hopkins from his first marriage. His most famous role was as the character Hannibal Lecter in the film The Silence of the Lambs for which he also won the Academy Award for Best Actor. William Bradley Pitt, widely known as Brad Pitt, is an American film actor. He was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma & raised in Springfield, Missouri. In high school, Pitt was involved in sports, debating, student government & school musicals. He dropped out of the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He was two credits shy of graduating with a Journalism degree, before trying his luck in Hollywood. Before he became successful at acting, Pitt supported himself by driving strippers in limos, moving refrigerators & dressing as a giant chicken while working for the restaurant chain El Pollo Loco. In 1995, he was chosen by Empire magazine as one of the 25 sexiest stars in film history. In December 1996, he got engaged to actress Gwyneth Paltrow but the engagement didnt last long & the two split up in June 1997. He married actress Jennifer Aniston on July 29, 2000. Their separation was announced on January 7, 2005. Previous to this, Pitt was involved in long-term relationship with actress Gwyneth Paltrow. Extensive tabloid coverage surrounded this relationship.
