Biography: George Lazenby [Top] George Robert Lazenby is an Australian actor best known for portraying James Bond in the 1969 film, On Her Majestys Secret Service. // George Lazenby was born in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia & served in the Australian Army Special forces & as a military unarmed combat instructor. He moved to London in 1964 ; working as a car salesman & as a model, then as an actor in advertising, by 1968, he was the highest-paid model in the world ; he also was the European Marlboro Man. In the 1970s he worked in Hong Kong with Bruce Lee ; a luncheon meeting with Lee & Raymond Chow to discuss a movie project collapsed, with Lees sudden death. Despite having starred in On Her Majestys Secret Service & The Kentucky Fried Movie, the combined gross earnings of which exceeded $100 million worldwide in the 1970s, Lazenbys career never flourished.

Biography: Lewis Gilbert [Top] Lewis Gilbert is a British film director born in London, England. Gilbert got his start starring in silent movies as a child until 1938 s The Divorce of Lady X Afterwards he started shooting documentaries of the Royal Air Force during World War II. In 1966 Gilbert directed Alfie starring Michael Caine. The film was nominated for five Academy Awards including best picture. Gilbert was nominated for a Golden Globe for best director. In 2004 a remake of Alfie was released starring Jude Law.

Biography: Michael Apted [Top] Michael Apted is a British director, producer, writer & actor. Apted studied law & history at Cambridge University. He began his career in television, working as a researcher for Granada Television, eventually becoming a director for the station. During his time at Granada, he directed a number of episodes of Coronation Street. For his work in television, Apted has won several British Academy Awards, including one for Best Dramatic Director. He went to the United States in 1980 & there directed his first feature film, Coal Miners Daughter, which got seven Academy Award nominations. Along with feature films, Apted has also directed a number of documentaries. On June 29, 2003 he was elected President of the Directors Guild of America.

Biography: Terence Young [Top] Terence Young was a film director best known for his three films in the James Bond franchise: Dr No, From Russia With Love & Thunderball. During World War II, Young was a paratrooper that took part in the battle at Arnhem, Netherlands where he was wounded & taken to a Dutch hospital. At this hospital he met a nurse named Audrey Heenstra who would later be better known as actress Audrey Hepburn & who he would unite with twenty years later for the 1967 film Wait Until Dark.
