One of these eight people will turn into a werewolf. Can you guess who it is when we stop the film solve it. but dont tell! Calvin Lockhart stars as Tom Newcliffe, a wealthy business tycoon with an obsession for big game hunting. Newcliffe has invited a group of friends & acquaintances to his sprawling country estate for what is assumed to be a pleasant weekend gathering. Soon enough, however, he reveals his intentions for assembling the group. It seems that each of the guests has a sordid secret in his or her past & bad things tend to happen to people who are around them. It is Newcliffes firm belief that one of the guests at his house is a werewolf & it is not only his goal to prove the existence of such a beast, but to stalk it & kill it as the ultimate quarry.

I love this film! It was`nt really meant to be taken that seriously back in 1974 when it first appeared, almost 30 years on, it can only get better! The parts that are meant to be funny are good, the parts that are NOT are even more hilarious! You cant help but think that everyone on set had a great time making this film & it shows. Highlights include; Peter Cushings dodgy accent, meant to be German but frequently sounding Indian, Calvin Lockharts accent & mannerisms, The werewolf who looks more like an Alsation dog, the dodgy bad acting in general, groovy 70s tunes plus fab clothing & to cap it all the legendary Werewolf break. You`ll have to watch the film to know what Im on about. All in all, a great comedy/horror with groovy 70s funk capped with a copious amount of cheese, making for an entertaining & hilarious night in front of the box. Highly recommended.

Biography: Peter Cushing
[Top]
Peter Cushing was a British actor, perhaps best known today for his role as Grand Moff Tarkin in the film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Cushing is also remembered for his work in the Hammer Horror films — particularly his recurring roles as Dr Frankenstein in Hammers Frankenstein films & as Professor van Helsing in Hammers Dracula films. His first major role & probably the most significant on television in his entire career, was starring as Winston Smith in BBC Television s 1954 adaptation of George Orwell s famous novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. Cushing drew much praise for his performance in this production, although he always felt that his performance in the existing version of the play – it was performed twice in one week & only the second version survives in the archives – was inferior to the first. In the mid- 1960s, he played the eccentric human scientist Dr Who in two movies based on the television series Doctor Who. Posters Of Peter Cushing
